What do we use when we run out of fuel? What if we had something that never ran out of fuel instead? Students will learn about one type of renewable energy and identify drawbacks, think of new and clever ways to improve upon them by brainstorming, designing, and prototyping.
Through this lesson, students will learn about the importance of renewable energy sources as we cover the impact nonrenewable sources have on the Earth's ecosystem. Students will learn how wind turbines create electricity using generators, as well as how the airfoils of a wind turbine's blade functions.
