We were very excited to receive word this morning that one of our first customers, Hugh Lyman, had been announced as the winner of the Global Desktop Factory Competition! (The competition was sponsored by the Kauffman Foundation and the Desktop Fabrication Lab, and asked participants for ideas that would keep plastic filament for 3D printers available and affordable).
Mr. Lyman's design, The Lyman Filament Extruder II, processes loose pieces of filament and recycles them into a coil that can be used as any other filament would be.
