LulzBot 3D printers in Education

Students at Lemon Bay High School in Englewood, Florida are getting ahead of the game with 3D printing! These students are using a LulzBot TAZ 4 3D printer to print various items, including the Veterans plaque pictured below. This plaque was printed with LayBrick, an exotic mineral-based filament. Items printed with LayBrick have a stone-like finish, which was perfect for this memorial project honoring Veterans.

Everyday, more students are utilizing 3D printing in education. 3D printing is becoming a useful tool for educators interested in teaching about this method of fabrication, and students are eager to learn about the additive manufacturing. Future artists to engineers can directly benefit from exposure to 3D printing in their education, and we're proud that our LulzBot TAZ 4 3D printer is leading the way for the next generation.
