MRRF 2014 Lulz, Interviews, and Panels

Our team is settling back in after a successful—and fun!—time at the 2014 Midwest RepRap Festival (MRRF)! LulzBot 3D printers began and continue to be developed in the RepRap tradition. RepRap is an active community that we are fortunate to participate in and contribute to. To learn more about the RepRap community, check out the RepRap Wiki!

We had our TAZ 3D printer up and running, but we were especially proud to show off our brand new Flexystruder. The Flexystruder is optimized to print flexible materials like Ninjaflex, meaning there is a whole new world of filament options available to LulzBot users. Brian Benchoff with Hack A Day recorded an interview with one of our top notch engineers/robot psychologists, Aeva Palececk, explaining how it works:

Next, Brian and Aeva talked all about her exciting 3D scanner project. You can read the background on the scanner here on the LulzBot Forum, and the full video of the interview is available below:

Lastly, Aeva participated in an interesting Q&A panel discussing all things RepRap, alongside Johnny Russell of Ultimachine, Josef Prusa of Prusa Mendel and i3, and Mike Payson, of Maker's Tool Works. The panel video is available below:
