For those of you printing with an AO-100 or AO-101, you may already know what a work horse it is - after all, both machines were designed to just keep printing, no matter the size, intricacy, or iteration. However, you may also know that these machines essentially print themselves... which makes it pretty easy to upgrade when and how you like. We wanted to make sure that these printers will keep working and can keep improving.
That's why we were so excited when one of our specialists, Brent (BAM in the forums) introduced a modification to the X carriage design for the AO series. The new design can simply replace the existing X carriage, and no further hardware or parts will be needed. As he says, 'The redesign stretches the x-carriage by 40mm without compromising print volume, and should keep your parts crisp and clean even with worn bushings.'
Sounds like the kind of thing you'd want to get your hands on, right? Head over to our forums and read about it, or download the files to get started right away. Thanks, Brent!
