When the creators of Tic STACK Toe set out to put a 3D twist on classic tic-tac-toe, they turned to LulzBot to bring things to life. Through our LulzBot direct print service, we transformed their vision from concept to shelf-ready product in a matter of months!
From Concept to Creation
The Tic STACK Toe team came to LulzBot with an idea: a fully 3D printed, stackable version of tic-tac-toe that was fun, durable, and easy to produce at scale.
Our engineers provided end-to-end design and production support, moving seamlessly from digital models to functional prototypes in hours. This rapid iteration allowed the team to test, refine, and perfect every detail; from the snug-fitting pods and print-in-place hinges to the smooth, tactile feel that defines the finished game.
Scalable, Local Manufacturing
After finalizing the design, Tic STACK Toe moved straight into full-scale production through our Fargo, North Dakota facility.
Powered by our large-scale print farm and advanced job management software, we were able to produce hundreds of complete game sets per day; all while maintaining quality and consistent output.
By keeping production in the United States, the team benefited from faster communication, shorter lead times, and greater flexibility, without the added costs or delays common in overseas manufacturing.
